Foodies in HK, stay calm! You will be the first ones in the world to enjoy Ebisoba Ichigen’s special Ebi Mazesoba – ramen in shrimp sauce with BBQ pork and soft-boiled egg. Founded in Sapporo, Japan in 2009, Ebisoba Ichigen’s magical ramen quickly become popular in Japan with its rich shrimp broth base. Successfully launched its first Hong Kong venue in Wan Chai this April and its flagship venue at Horbour City, Tsim Sha Tsui in August, Ebisoba Ichigen aims to bring its very best ramen to foodies in Hong Kong and from around the world.
What is so special about Ebisoba Ichigen’s Ebi Mazesoba?
First of all, it is exclusively for Hong Kong venues only, which means you cannot find it elsewhere!
Ebi Mazesoba is created by Ebisoba Ichigen’s founder, chef Naoki Hayashi, specially for Hong Kong. The rich shrimp sauce used in this ramen is made by mixing shrimp heads, shrimp soup, vegetables and other ingredients, broken by a mixer and cooked together, then to separate the sauce from the mixed which gives it a highly concentrated flavour. All sauces are made by order and ready to serve with the thick noodles only seconds before the ramen arrives to each individual guest to make sure that the ramen is at its the best.
Each Ebi Mazesoba is served with a half soft-boiled egg, chopped Japanese BBQ pork, chopped spring onion and crispy seaweed. Before tasting, make sure that you mix everything in the bowl especially to have the flavour of that rich shrimp sauce covered all over your ramen.
