Andrew Marks is the lead singer of the blues/rock group ‘Flower Bridge’.
DB: What artists got you excited about music growing up and do any of these artists still influence you now?
My Father was a huge influence on my talents but growing up and learning guitar groups like Led Zeppelin, Black Sabbath, Joni Hendrix, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Pink Floyd, AC/DC, Metallica and many more were a huge influence on my music.
DB: If you had to describe your sound in only three words, what words would you choose?
Cool / Rockin’ / Exciting
DB: Is there a story behind your band name?
Well it’s a little naughty but funny too because in Cantonese it sounds funny to an English person. Playing on words.
DB: How do audiences in Guangdong tend to receive your sound?
The true rockers love us. We are always asked to come back. GZ / Zhuhai / Shenzhen / Huizhou / Dongguan…. the list goes on.
DB: If you could support any band on any stage in the world, who and where would you pick and why?
Pink Floyd, although I know the rest of the band may have other choices. But Roger Waters and David Gilmore have made great songs over the years. Any place would be great because it’s always a big crowd everywhere they go. Metallica are a close second though!
DB: Finally, where can our readers hear/watch you play?
There are many places we play in Guangdong. These are some of our upcoming shows:
16th Tao LH Shunde
22nd Murray’s Dongguan
7th ‘one for the road’
13th Huizhou American Retro
